Our Handmade Promise & Purchase Policy

⚠️ Important Must-Read Policy:

  1. Handmade Charm: All doll clothes and accessories are crafted by hand. This means minor manual imperfections and subtle differences are unavoidable. We allow for a reasonable variance of 1-3mm in all our items.
  2. Color Consistency: Due to differences in photography lighting and screen displays, slight chromatic aberration (color difference) may occur.
  3. Quality Claims: Upon receiving your package, please record a complete, unedited unboxing video. Quality issues (such as material damage) must be reported within 7 days of signature/delivery. Claims made after this 7-day window cannot be processed.
  4. Custom Nature: As all our items are pure custom-made products, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for non-quality reasons (e.g., change of mind, perceived sizing/color difference).

Unboxing Magic & First Impressions

When your doll arrives, a little care and attention will bring out its best shape and personality!

Q: My doll's face looks squished or different from the pictures. What do I do?
A: Don't worry! Long journeys in the mail can cause temporary squishing. Just give your doll a gentle massage! Knead the cotton inside the body to evenly redistribute the stuffing. This will bring back that perfect, plump face shape.
Q: The joints feel stiff, making it hard to pose my doll!
A: Dolls fresh from production and transport might have stiff frames. Give your doll some "calisthenics" first! Gently move the limbs up, down, left, and right to activate the joints. They will become much more flexible. (The frame is very durable and won't break with non-violent movement.)
A Note on Styling:

Your doll arrives with "factory settings." The beautiful models you see online have been personally styled, brushed, and blushed by Cottonland! We encourage you to personalize your doll! You can also reference cotton doll styling videos on YouTube for inspiration.

☀️ Daily Love & Care (The Dos and Don'ts)

Keep your cotton friend in top condition with these simple rules:

⚠️ Don't Do This! (Safety First)

  • NO Hot Tools: Never use a hot hairdryer on your doll, as this can scorch or melt the facial fabric.
  • NO Long-Term Sunbathing: Do not leave your doll in direct sunlight for extended periods (this can cause fading). Occasional sun exposure, especially in humid areas, is good to help prevent dust mites and mold.
  • NO Dark Clothes for Too Long: Avoid dressing your doll in dark or deep-colored clothes for long periods, as this can cause irreversible color transfer (staining). Always wash new, dark clothes once before use!
  • NO Elastic Compression: Avoid leaving tight clothing (like those with elastic waistbands) on for extended times, as they can leave permanent pressure marks.
  • NO Harsh Chemicals: Do not use products containing alcohol or harsh chemicals on the doll's face, as this can make the facial fabric rough.
  • NO Hand Cream Myth: Do not apply hand cream or lotions to the doll's face to "smooth" it—this will likely cause the fabric to turn yellow over time.
  • NO Permanent Hair Clips: Avoid clipping heavy or tight hair accessories for too long, as they can leave dents.
  • NO Orange Blush: When applying blush, avoid orange-toned shades, as they tend to leave a permanent yellow stain after they fade.

Q: Will my doll's hair show the hair net?

A: For certain hair materials, especially those that are bleached or 'frizzy,' minor visibility of the hair netting is normal. We are always searching for better alternatives, but this is typical for some lighter hair fabrics and does not impact styling! Dolls with darker hair usually appear to have more volume.

🛠️ Maintenance & Essential Supplies

Routine Care Items:

  1. Lint Roller (Highly Recommended!): The most useful item! Gently roll over the body (follow one direction) to pick up dust and lint. (Caution: Roll gently so as not to lift the doll's surface fluff.)
  2. Fine-Bristle Brush (e.g., Baby or Pet Brush): Use a soft, multi-bristle brush (like a ten-thousand bristle brush) to gently smooth the facial fabric. Brush softly to avoid leaving marks.
  3. Blush: Essential for decorating and adding life to your doll's face!
  4. Doll Cleaning Detergent: Use sparingly, as excessive use can make the face fabric rough.

🧼 Bath Time! (Washing Your Doll)

Before washing, check your doll for loose stitching or loose hair patches. Always record a video if there are issues.

  1. Use a small basin of lukewarm or cold water with a small amount of fabric softener.
  2. Dip a clean, disposable facial towel into the solution and wring it until it is only damp (not dripping).
  3. Gently wipe the doll's body. Be extra gentle on any embroidered areas, as scrubbing can cause colors to bleed.
  4. Pat the surface dry with a clean, dry towel to absorb excess moisture.
  5. Place your doll in a cool, ventilated area to air dry completely. Do not tumble dry or use heat.

✂️ Hair Styling Tips

Do not use large wooden combs. Use a soft brush, toothbrush, or small pet comb to organize the hair. You may use a tiny bit of conditioner or water to moisturize, but do not pull or yank the hair.
